The
East Ascension Sportsman's League is a nonprofit organization
dedicated to conserving and properly managing our natural resources
for future generations. We are one of the largest and most active
affiliates of the Louisiana Wildlife Federation. Our regular activities
include an annual kid's fishing rodeo, nest box projects, bass &
big game contests, a shooting series, and a monthly meeting featuring
dinner and a special guest speaker.

September
2010 EASL MEETING:
The
monthly general meeting is held the third monday of each month at
the American Legion Hall in Gonzales. Please note the new meeting
time is 7pm.
The
next general meeting will be September 20th at 7pm. The featured
guest speaker will be Mr. David Matassa, Director
of Mosquito Control for Ascension Parish, to talk about the mosquito
control program and public health protection.
The
Meal Sponsor for the September EASL meeting will be United

National Arbor Day, EASL members planted a 6-foot live oak at Lamar-Dixon
near the big pond. Our thanks to Lyle Shexnayder who donated
the tree and is coordinating the maintenance and upkeep. Planted
